No better way to explain a crazy story then from Peregrine Automotive themselves: "This Revenge GT Convertible is one of just four hand built by Peregrine Automotive to transform Ford’s evergreen pony car into a fully integrated supercar that sets a new standard in the world of Mustang performance. Based in Irvine, California, Peregrine begins its conversion with its own custom wide-body kit, an exclusive, fully integrated in-house design employing aerospace composite technology for extremely light weight, unrivaled durability and enhanced aerodynamics. Finished in custom Rosso Targa paint and trimmed with exposed carbon fiber accents, the body conversion includes Peregrine-designed, F1-inspired functional carbon fiber undertrays and a massive carbon fiber rear wing for increased downforce at speed. To capitalize on that higher speed potential, the Mustang’s 5.0L V-8 engine was modified with a painted Whipple Stage 2 supercharger, high-performance fuel injectors, performance intake with high-flow filter, a billet throttle body fed by an oversized intake, and Peregrine custom variable exhaust. A Peregrine custom tune contributes to producing a whopping 800 HP through a paddle-shifted automatic transmission, driving a lightweight carbon fiber driveshaft and upgraded half shafts. The heavy-duty cooling system incorporates a performance aluminum heat exchanger for maximum protection. Peregrine’s hyper-conversion includes extensive suspension and braking mods, comprising a front K-member brace and camber arms, Peregrine independent rear suspension with toe links and differential mount bushings and custom-designed MagneRide lowering springs, all working through the magic of Michelin 295/35R20 PS4S front and 345/30R20 PS4S rear tires providing maximum grip".
