When Honda announced plans to bring the 5th generation of the Civic Type-R to the United States, the excitement of the enthusiast JDM community could not be over stated - for the first time ever, the Type-R badge would make an appearance in the US, something which hadn't ever been done in its history having always been limited to Japanese or European markets! The release of the Civic Type-R certainly didn't disappoint, with rave reviews from journalists and sky high demand - and with good reason, being the most powerful Honda to ever grace the US with its 2.0L VTEC Turbo Engine, a true 6-Speed Manual Transmission, Brembo Brakes, and Limited Slip Differential! Of course with all of that enthusiasm, aftermarket tuners were itching to get their hands on the product to start offering performance upgrades, as is typical with most Japanese sports cars - they also did not disappoint! This particular example has been fitted with a PRL Motorsports High Volume Intake System coupled with PRL Motorsports Charge Pipe and Downpipe, as well as an Invidia R400 Catback Exhaust to let it all breathe and flow properly (and with great tone and sound). Those upgrades really make this Type-R a cut above the rest, and comes with one of the best color combinations in the Championship White exterior and Red/Black Suede and Leather interior - we also have to mention that the factory sport seats in the Type-R are second to none, best seat on the market for the money!!
